Ethan had been asking me to stop at folks home to ride their horses while he traveled with us. It seemed that he really wanted to ride a horse and kept asking. So we surprised him on April 9, 2006 when we picked up his cousin, Madelyn, and went to the Naomi's home ranch near Rayne for some horse back riding. The grandkids had a smile on their faces that never left. This had to be the greatest moment in Ethan's life this day. He was extremely happy and behaved. Madelyn enjoyed it also, although she had ridden horses before.

Left to right; Vincent, Rick, Jimmy and I, Roland. This is the domino gang... we get together 4 times annually to play while the spouses and friends visit in the other room. The lucky one is in the blue shirt seated to my right. The unlucky ones are the ones in the other blue shirt seat to my left and the red shirt (me). I treasure these moments and look with great anticipation to playing again and of course losing. Ha! Big losses can occur here... $2.50 maybe!

Left to Right: Roland (Me), Ronnie (my wife), Gayle and Ronnie Prejean. Took this picture on May 16th, 2006. Annually we have a fishing trip planned some place with good friends. Here we caught each a limit of speckle trout, 25 trout per person. Guide in green shirt is Gerald Ellender, Houma, La. He comes well recommended by me. CoCo Marina is a very good place to visit and stay awhile. Good lodging, eating and fishing.

  Ethan's 10 lbs catfish.
Almost as tall as he is.
Took the grandkids fishing at Catfish Heaven on Lake Martin Road on May 20, 2006, Saturday morning. They enjoyed themselves with two catches, Madelyn - 8 lbs and Ethan - 10 lbs. For a while there, it seemed that Madelyn was going to have the biggest catch of the day. From the picture above, you can see how big the head of the catfish is compared to Ethan's head. Two catfish took up the entire ice chest.
